Week One:  Choose one or as many as you would like to write of these creative writing assignments.

                  Remember the steps of the writing process.

  1. Make sure you know your task, audience and purpose
  2. Brainstorm a list of ideas and choose a topic.
  3. Research your topic to find out the facts.
  4. Try putting your ideas in an order that makes sense.
  5. Write as much as possible without stopping, even if you make mistakes.
  6. Read your writing, checking for spelling, grammar and organization.
  7. Revise your writing to address all the editing comments and notes.

 

 

  1. What if you could spend the day with your favorite athlete. Who would you choose? What would you do?
  2. What if you could talk to animals? Which animals would you talk to? What would you talk about?
  3. What if you had your own kingdom? What rules would you make? What would your kingdom be like?
  4. What if you were lost in a forest and had only one tool for survival? What would your tool be? How would you use it?
  5. What if you could be one of the characters from your favorite book? Which character would you choose? Would you change the outcome of the story?

  5. What if you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life? Which meal would you choose? Why?
