About Judy Loftis

My name is Judy Loftis. The last 27 years I have taught at Hugo and Atoka. Some of the subjects I have taught are physical education and Spanish. I have also coached softball and a jump rope team that went to the National Finals in Florida for four years consecutively  in double dutch and single rope tricks. My husband is Pat Loftis and we have lived in Atoka for 40 plus years. I love the Spanish language and love teaching it. It is a beautiful language and I believe it is necessary to keep pace with popular culture which is strong in our area and getting stronger. It is a medical device. Research indicates that knowing and using two languages reduces your chances of developing dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. It is rapidly becoming a business necessity. Spanish is everywhere and learning Spanish will (truly) expand your universe. Knowing Spanish will completely transform your travel experience. It will help you to help others and it will allow you to better appreciate Hispanic cultural contributions. Lastly Spanish is FUN.
